Full List of Broadcasting Stations NBC Suspended Their Licences on August 19, 2022

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), the broadcast regulatory agency in Nigeria, on Friday August 19, 2022 revoked the operation licences of  46 broadcasting stations.

Modibbo Kawu, Director-General of NBC, Modibbo Kawu, who announced the shutdown at a press briefing in Abuja on Friday,  said the suspension was as a result of failure of the stations to comply with license renewal procedures.

The affected stations comprised of privately owned and state government owned radio and television stations.
