Maduka University, Enugu has appointed Professor Charles Uzodimma Ogbulogo as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the institution, with effect from July 1, 2023.
Before his appointment, Prof. Ogbulogo was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Covenant University, Otta, Ogun State, where he has worked for 19 years, further attesting to his reputation as an outstanding academic and leader.
Knowledge and Experience
Professor Charles Ogbulogo is bringing to his new role a wealth of knowledge and experience, making him an ideal choice to lead Maduka University.
Prof. Ogbulogo has had many remarkable achievements to his credit. He served as Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer II, and Senior Lecturer at the University of Lagos between 1988 to 1998. While serving at the UniLag, he held various leadership positions, such as Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Ag Head of the Department of African and Asian Studies, and Chairman of the Postgraduate Committee. He also contributed significantly to the academic community through his involvement in the Postgraduate Board, Academic Programs Committee, and Publications Committee.
Throughout his esteemed career, he has consistently displayed unwavering integrity and dedication to education. He has inspired countless individuals through his mentorship and guidance, serving as a positive influence and role model for many.
His principles and ideologies have positively impacted the lives of many individuals, emphasizing the value of knowledge, hard work, and speaking the truth without fear.
Education
Prof Ogbulogo's secondary education was at St Charles College Abakaliki from 1975 to 1980. He attended University of Calabar between 1981 1985 where he obtained B. A( Hons) English Education 2nd Class Upper Division. He obtained MA. English 1986 -1987, and PhD English 1991 to 1995
