Meta has announced its plans to launch Instagram Channels with a new broadcast chat features.
This was disclosed on Thursday by the Mata founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg on his verified Facebook page.
According to Zuckerberg, the Instagram Channels will enable users "share news and updates, stressing that it will be the place he will "share Mata product news first."
"We're starting to roll out Instagram channels -- a new broadcast chat feature. I'm starting a channel to share news and updates on all the products and tech we're building at Meta. It will be the place I share Meta product news first."
He further stated that Meta is bringing channels to Facebook and Messenger soon.
"We're also bringing channels to Messenger and Facebook in the coming months."
