It's either You Vote for APC or We Deal with You Mercilessly – Doguwa Threatens Nigerians

An All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker, Alhassan Ado Doguwa has threatened to deal mercilessly with Nigerians that fail to vote for the ruling party in 2023 general elections.

Doguwa during a campaign in a video circulating on social media on Tuesday said: “It is either you vote for APC or we deal with you mercilessly.” 

Doguwa who is the majority leader in the House of Representatives, repeated the threat as crowd of his supporters chorused in support of him, as seen in the video.

Similarly, Kano APC chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, had earlier threatened that the APC will win the forthcoming elections by all means.

He said: “People are saying that I should stop saying the APC will capture Kano by hook or crook. I want to tell this gathering that the APC will capture Kano by hook or crook.”

Kano is one of the states with the highest number of registered voters. From the data on voter register released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in October, Lagos, Kano, Kaduna and Rivers States have the highest registered voters.

Lagos has the highest number of registered voters of 7,075,192, followed by Kano with 5,927,565 registered voters, while Kaduna and Rivers have  4,345,469 and 3,532,990 registered voters respectively.
