Afrobeat Musician, David Adeleke, known by his stage name, Davido and his partner Chioma have lost their son, Ifeanyi.
According to viral information on social media, the 3 year old boy drowned in a swimming pool at Davido’s Banana Island residence in Lagos on Monday night, 20th October.
The reports say Ifeanyi stayed underwater for a long time before being spotted, rescued and taken to a hospital in the Lekki where he was confirmed dead on arrival.
Though no official statement has come out from Adeleke family, many celebrities who seem to be close to the singer are posting the horrific news on their social media handles.
Some of the celebrities who posted the sad news include Ayo Makun (AY Comedian), Paul Okoye of P-Square, Daddy Freeze, Iyabo Ojo, and others
Ayo Makun, in an Instagram wrote: “The death of a child is unnatural, unfair, and tragic, this hit me so bad.
Daddy Freeze wrote “The Darkest hour”
Comedian Lasisi Elenu, “Father heal your children’s heart from this pain, strengthen them in such a dark and hurtful time oh Lord.”
The details of the incident is yet unclear as the Adeleke’s is yet to either confirm or debunk the story. The story was first shared Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus in a now-deleted post.
