Adamu Garba, a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has advised his party not to underestimate  the supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, popularly known as the ‘Obedient.’ ahead of the 2023 presidential elections.

Adamu gave warning in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle.

Making reference to the recently concluded elections in Lesotho, where a party, RFP, founded in March 2022, won the Presidency with landslide due to young people’s votes, Garba said they should not be taken for granted. Like Peter Obi, Lesotho's president-elect, Sam Matekene was called social media president prior to the election.

Adam also made references to experiences in Kenya and Zambia, and therefore advised APC to have a current strategic campaign if they are to secure victory.

He wrote: “A party, RFP, founded by Sam in March 2022 in Lesotho, won the Presidency as a result of young people’s votes. A similar case happened in Kenya & Zambia, all in 2022.

“That is why we shouldn’t underestimate these obidient.

APC must have a modern strategic campaign to secure victory”.

At the flag off of presidential campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Uyo on Monday, supposed supporters of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar were seen singing for Obi instead of Atiku, which indicated that "Obidients" infiltrated the PDP support group.
