U.S Set to Return another Tranche of Abacha Loot

Nigeria and the United States government on Tuesday signed an agreement on the return of about $23 million of the Abacha loot.

The agreement signing ceremony took place at the office of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami

The U.S Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard signed on the behalf of the U.S government, while AGF Malami sign on behalf of Nigerian government

Speaking after the signing, Mr Malami said the fund when returned will be invested in three ongoing infrastructure projects by the Federal Government, including the ongoing the 2nd Niger Bridge and Abuja-Kaduna road.
