A consumer is a person who purchases goods and services for personal use. Can also be described as the end-user of any good or service. Such good or service is called consumer product.

Consumer Protection Laws and Legislations

Consumer protection laws and legislation include any law, legislation and guidelines that governs and protects the right of consumers. In Nigeria there are many laws and legislations for the protection of the consumer rights. Amongst other legislations and decrees, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) Act, 2018 is the primary legislation that governs and protects the rights of consumers in Nigeria.
