The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the mass production of Made-in-Nigeria helicopters with experts already trained for production.
Executive Vice Chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, NASENI, Professor Mohammed Sani Haruna announced this on Friday in Abuja while briefing journalists at State House after having a private meeting with the President.
Professor Haruna said he briefed President Buhari on the activities of the agency and to present its financial report, which the President requested for.
President Buhari had in 2021 approved 1 percent of the Federation Allocation for NASENI to fund the Agency’s activities, engineering innovations and manufacturing of locally made aircrafts.
President Buhari has also approved the sum of N24 billion for NASENI to construct a smart modular irrigation.
