Osun Election has Taught APC Lesson not to Take Anyone for Granted – Garba

Former APC presidential aspirant Adamu Garba, has reacted to the defeat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate in Osun governorship election, Adegboyega Oyetola.

In a tweets on Sunday, Adamu said the defeat suffered APC in the just concluded Osun governorship has thought the party a lesson, advised the ruling party not to not take anyone and anything for granted to prevent such reoccurrence in future especially in 2023 general elections.

He congratulated the governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke of PDP. He equally congratulated singer David Adeleke a.k.a Davido for showing family solidarity to the political ambition of his uncle.

Adeleke scored 403,371 to defeat Oyetola who garnered 375,027 votes, while Lasun Yusuf of Labour Party, LP polled 2,729.

“Never! Osun state have some unique insider peculiarities and the governor didn’t handle it well. In the  @OfficialAPCNg, we learn a lesson in defeat and ensure it never repeat itself again. However, it is important that we don’t take anything or anyone for granted ever again.
