Despite several denials by former Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Jonathan that he (Jonathan) is will not be contesting for presidential election in 2023, not even on the APC’s platform, the former Nigerian leader has finally met with the National Chairman of the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress, in Abuja.

On Monday a group of Fulani herdsmen purchased N100 million APC presidential form for Jonathan, and it was later reported that he rejected the nomination form.

According to a source close to the former president, the meeting whose details is not yet in the public domain was intended to clear some issues surrounding calls for Jonathan becoming the APC's 2023 presidential candidate.

Reports have it that confusion has been trailing the purchase of the form for Jonathan as his core loyalists in the People Democratic Party, PDP, are making frantic effort to discourage him from joining the APC and running on its platform, saying that such would be detrimental to opposition party and belittling of his image.

The closed door meeting  was held in Adamu’s Abuja residence, ane lasted between 9pm and 10 pm.
