Dr Stephen Akintoye Offers to Buy Nairaland for N1 Billion

Dr Stephen Akintoye, a Nigeria entrepreneur has offered to buy Nairaland, Nigeria's forum site for N1 billion.

The Dubai based serial investor, said he would turn Nairaland to a global brand and Africa's UNICON.

His decision to buy Nairaland  followed the buying of Twitter, a US based microblogging platform by Elon Musk for $44 billion.

Akintoye initially offered to buy the forum site for N100 million, and said he was willing to pay more if an independent valuer says it worth more.

In another tweet on Tuesday, he raised the offer to N1 billion, saying he will pay 20% cash, 80% land to buy.
