Since the launch of eNaira, Central Bank of Nigeria’s digital currency it has continued to gain acceptance by Nigerians. At the official launch eNaira, the CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele announced that 33 banks had joined eNaira platform. Three month down the line, available statistics show that 10 banks are topping the list of banks with most active consumer wallets. Guaranty Trust Bank, GTB tops the list with wide margin. In terms of consumer wallets, GTB is the leading bank in Nigeria with more than 30% of all active consumer wallets. Other banks with highest number of activated customers are:

Top 10 Banks in Merchant Adoption
More than 2,000 merchant wallets were active as at end of November 2021, with Ecobank having about 20 percent of active eNaira merchant wallets.
