The National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) has announced a change of plan in payment of outstanding stipends of the beneficiaries of Npower Batch C Stream 1, stating that all arrears owed beneficiaries would be cleared separately.

The month of November was on Friday added on the Payroll Tab, representing double payment initiated for disbursement by the beneficiaries’ banks but was later removed

NASIM clarified that payments will now be made one after the other; which means payments will no longer be made as two months or three months payments in one bulk of credit Alert. This the Npower management said it’s to avert payment system errors that could result double payment or omissions — some beneficiaries receiving more than the numbers of months payments they are entitled to, and or some others not receiving due payments.

“The removal of November payment earlier added to payroll tab today was deemed appropriate after careful review to halt an error ensuring simultaneous payment and hitch-free payment gateway is achieved.

“Recall, we had earlier stated the payment pattern deployed to clear the outstanding (payment shall be made separately),”  NASIMS stated.

The Npower Management has reiterated its decision to pay up all the outstanding of 3 Months: October, November and December, owed to the Npower beneficiaries.

“Be rest assured all outstanding will be cleared, we are poised to serve you better,” the statement concluded

This will calm the nerves of the beneficiaries who were worried following removal of November from “pending” payment status at the Payroll Tab of NASIMS beneficiaries’ dashboards.

There are speculations that decision of the Npower Management to pay the three outstanding months one by one was based on available fund at the moment.
