President Muhammadu Buhari has said his administration has done its best fighting the prevailing insecurity situation in almost all parts of the country.

The President stated this on Friday when the head of the Tijjaniyya Islamic Movement World-Wide, Tidjani Ali Bin Arabi visited the State House, Abuja.

Mr Arabi was accompanied by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano and Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, leader of the Tijjaniyya Islamic Movement in Nigeria.

According to the president, the federal government is well aware of its responsibility with regards to security and will continue to do its best.

“We have done our best and we will continue to do more by pursuing coherent and consistent policies to deal with terrorism. I hope God will listen to our prayers,” President said.

He urged Nigerians to be fair to his government in assessing insecurity in the country, adding that the Northwest which has given Nigeria “headache” was soon to experience a turnaround.

The president thanked Mr Ganduje for bringing the Islamic leaders to Nigeria “to pray for peace and stability in our country. We are grateful that they agreed to come.”
