The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has stated that, out of over 300,000 exited Npower beneficiaries who have indicated interest in the NEXIT programme, only those who meet CBN's selection criteria will benefit from the exit program.

This was contained in a post on the ministry’s official Facebook page tagged “Answers to Frequently Asked Questions on Npower “ and seen by Business Compiler.

According to the Ministry, over 300,000 exited Batches A &B Npower beneficiaries have indicated interest in the exit program. The Exit program is exit package for the pioneer Npower volunteers who have exited program organized by the Ministry of Humanitarian in collaboration with Central Bank of Nigeria.

The Ministry stressed that the cry for permanency of batches A& B has been so loud but FG can’t give them permanent jobs because “right from the programme design and application process, the duration of the programme is made known to interested persons. Government is to create an enabling environment for youth to build capacity and gain experience through Social Protection programme like N-power and not employing permanently over 500,000 in its payroll. “

Recall that on September, 22, Business Compiler reported that the Minister of Humanitarian Affair, Sadiya Umar Farouk, while speaking at Chatham House said that training for the exited volunteers will commence by October.
