These companies are either operating in Agriculture or Consumer Goods sectors of the economy. For a business enterprise to be classified as agribusiness, it must engage in one of the following: crops production or processing, ago allied products manufacturing, agricultural marketing, uses agricultural produce as raw materials, any other business involving agriculture.
As we know, for a business share to be listed and traded at the Stock Exchange, such business must be a public limited liability company (PLC). Therefore, these businesses are public companies limited by shares (PLC)
