“Items recovered from the suspects included an AK-47 rifle, loaded with 29 rounds of live 7.62 x 39mm ammunitions and a 9 x 18mm. Makarov pistol, loaded with seven rounds of 9mm live ammunition,” he said.

Mr Jalige added that the police operatives’ fast response  was not any able to  effectively forestall  “the foreseeable calamity but also restored normalcy within  the community.”

The police spokesman quoted the Commissioner of Police of the state, Umar Muri, as urging groups in  the state to continually engage in communications as  means of dispute resolution instead of violence which might also  bring about disastrous consequences.
