President Muhammadu Buhari has given members of  National Youth Service Corps serving in Katsina State 2 cows, 20 bags of rice and cash of N1 million to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir

He made the donation on Tuesday when some corps members in Katsina State visited him at his residence in Daura for Eid-el-Kabir homage.

He advised the corps members to utilize the opportunity of traveling around the country to understand different climates, cultures and languages, and embrace one another.

“Some of you have come from Port Harcourt, Lagos and Calabar and you can now feel the heat of Daura and how close it is to the desert,” he said

Buhari also commended the former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon for initiating and establishing NYSC, which has fostered unity amongst Nigerians focusing on the youths. He said NYSC is “spectacular in many ways.”

“Every time I meet with former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, like recently, I still commend him for the initiative of the NYSC. The NYSC is spectacular in many ways,” Buhari stated.

The corps Liaison Officer, Umaru Babayo, who led the corps members, thanked the President for the gesture, and for his efforts and sacrifices to restore peace in the country, and different policies to diversify the economy especially in the area of Agriculture.

Babayo told the President that they are praying for his government to succeed in all the efforts put together to move the country forward
