NIRSAL calls for new applications to offer more Nigerians the opportunity to benefit from the program
NIRSAL Microfinance Bank today announced commencement of new applications for Covid-19 Targeted Credit Facility. This is to able more Nigerians to benefit from the support loan. It was announced on their various social media handles.
The Covid-19 Support Loan is the program of the Federal Government of Nigeria which is targeted at cushioning the effects of Coronavirus on household incomes and businesses.
The Central Bank of Nigeria in April mapped out 50 billion Naira collateral free loan to support households and small businesses. NIRSAL Microfinance Bank was given the mandate for implementation of the interventionist program.

Many Nigerians applied for the loan then and have already benefited from the scheme. People who were not able to apply then are now given the opportunity to apply and benefit from the program.
The loan has two categories: Household Support Loan, MSME Support Loan.
Qualification
To qualify for any category, you have to show proof of how Covid-19 impacted your household income or your business negatively. For MSMEs, your business must be a registered business in Nigeria.
